MHK Architecture is excited to introduce The MHK House, a new video series that takes viewers behind the scenes of the entire process of designing and building a custom home, from the first sketch to move-in day.
So much goes into bringing a home to life. Through The MHK House, MHK is pulling back the curtain to share the decisions, details and people behind each step of the process. Along the way, viewers will meet the builders, craftsmen, consultants and trade partners whose expertise helps turn an architectural vision into a finished home.
The series will follow the project through four key phases: site, design, build and live. It begins with selecting the right site and understanding the land, from its water and slope to its natural light. From there, MHK will explore the evolution of the design, including plans, elevations, 3D modeling and final selections, before following the home through clearing, grading, foundation, framing and finishing alongside its build partners.
Finally, The MHK House will follow the project through move-in, offering an honest look back at the process, what the team learned along the way and even what they might do differently.
Through each episode, MHK hopes to offer an educational, inspiring and occasionally entertaining look at what it truly takes to create a custom home.
